TNF player props: 3 best bets, 2 TDs, and a part-time receiver in Music City
Like tearing open a present from under the tree, when it comes to our weekly Thursday Night Football prop bets, you never know what you're going to get. But the vast majority of time, you like it. Last week it was a surprise Justin Herbert touchdown (+550), adding +3.5 units to the +13 we were already up.
It's the night before the night before Christmas in the NFL. With good tidings for the holiday season, let's get festive.
"Jingle All The Way" down the field
If you think we're simply having a most wonderful Christmas time here, the Sunday player props have been rollicking, as we've rode George Kittle over his yardage total the last few weeks. He's cleared this mark easily and there's no reason to believe he is in for a "Silent Night" in Nashville. The Titans have given up the fifth-fewest yards to opposing tight ends but, outside of Travis Kelce (7 receptions, 65 yards), they haven't seen one near the level of Kittle, who will be dashing through the secondary.
Pick: George Kittle over 67.5 receiving yards
A TD that's definitely going to happen
It won't be a "White Christmas" in Tennessee, but if there's anyone capable of taking tacklers for a virtual "Sleigh Ride," it's Deebo Samuel. However, at -110, backing the star is pricey. So we'll take a risk with Music City's main man on the outside and the return of A.J. Brown.
The uncertainty around backing Brown off an injury is getting us a decent price. So let's hope this ends up being a nice find like the modest winning scratch-off ticket in our stocking.
Pick: A.J. Brown anytime touchdown (+165)
A TD that probably won't happen ... but maybe it does
Racey McMath sounds like an alias I'd use on a pro-analytics message board, but the sixth-rounder out of LSU has seen an increase in snaps since returning from his own injury two weeks ago. If Brown and/or Julio Jones can't make their full workload, McMath might find himself on the field for more than the 22 snaps he played on Sunday. If the two big names are playing, they'll see their fair share of attention from the 49ers' secondary, and McMath might make it a "Holly Jolly Christmas" for us all.
Pick: Racey McMath anytime touchdown (+700)
