Report: Chargers' Ekeler, Guyton placed on COVID-19 list
Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler and wide receiver Jalen Guyton were placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Both players' availability for Sunday's game against the Houston Texans is uncertain.
Ekeler has produced 1,347 scrimmage yards and 17 total touchdowns through 14 games in 2021. He leads the Chargers with 789 rushing yards entering Week 16.
With Ekeler possibly sidelined this weekend, tailbacks Justin Jackson, Joshua Kelley, and Larry Rountree could receive more snaps.
Guyton has garnered more targets as part of the Chargers' receiving corps. He ranks fifth on the team with 386 receiving yards to go along with three scores.
The pair joins a growing number of players on the reserve group that already features pass-rusher Joey Bosa and center Corey Linsley.
