The Los Angeles Chargers will face the Houston Texans on Sunday without wide receiver Mike Williams and running back Austin Ekeler due to COVID-19 protocols.
Williams landed on the COVID-19 list Saturday for the second time in three weeks, according to ESPN's Field Yates. His first stint was short enough that he didn't miss a game. Ekeler announced he tested positive for the virus.
Williams has 964 yards and seven touchdowns on the season, trailing only Keenan Allen for the team lead in receiving yards. Ekeler has 789 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns, and he ranks third on the team in receiving with 558 yards and seven more touchdowns.
The Chargers head into Week 16 at 8-6, good for one of the three available wild card spots in the AFC.
