Bucs add Mike Evans to COVID-19 list
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers placed wide receiver Mike Evans on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday, the team announced.
Evans missed Tampa Bay's 32-6 win over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday with a hamstring injury. His status for the Buccaneers' upcoming matchup against the New York Jets is uncertain.
On Monday, Tampa Bay also announced that wide receivers coach Kevin Garver tested positive and activated wideout Breshad Perriman from the reserve group.
Bucs linebacker Lavonte David and running back Leonard Fournette are already on injured reserve. The club will likely be without edge rusher Shaq Barrett for the rest of the regular season as well after he suffered a mild ACL and MCL sprain in Week 16.
Evans is second on the Buccaneers with 899 receiving yards to go along with 11 touchdowns. Fellow receiver Chris Godwin is out for the season after suffering an ACL injury against the New Orleans Saints earlier in December.
If Evans is unable to play, it will likely mean more snaps for Cyril Grayson, Scotty Miller, and Perriman behind Antonio Brown.
