Harbaugh: Lamar 'has a chance' to play vs. Rams despite not practicing
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson "has a chance" to play Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams despite missing his second straight practice with an ankle injury, head coach John Harbaugh said Friday.
Jackson, who was officially listed as questionable for Week 17, practiced Wednesday but was seen limping throughout the session. He then sat out Thursday and Friday. Tyler Huntley will start for a third time this season if Jackson can't play.
The Ravens' chances of winning the AFC North are slim after the team fell to 8-7 last week with its second loss of the year to the Cincinnati Bengals. But Baltimore is still in the thick of the AFC wild-card race.
Josh Johnson was forced to start the blowout defeat against the Bengals with Jackson ailing for a second straight week and Huntley on the COVID-19 list.
Huntley, 23, has impressed in two starts and three further appearances this season. He's completed 68.8% of his passes for 743 yards and three touchdowns against one interception while adding 168 yards and two scores on the ground.
Jackson, meanwhile, has struggled with turnovers after an MVP-caliber first half of the campaign. The 24-year-old has thrown for six touchdowns against eight interceptions and hasn't found the end zone as a runner over the last five games.
