The Seattle Seahawks and free-agent edge rusher Uchenna Nwosu have agreed to a two-year, $20-million deal that includes $10.5 million guaranteed, his agents told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Nwosu spent the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Los Angeles Chargers. The 25-year-old recorded 15 sacks with L.A., including a career-best five in 2021.
The Seahawks struggled to get after the quarterback for much of the 2021 campaign. Carlos Dunlap led the team with 8.5 sacks last season, followed by Darrell Taylor and Rasheem Green at 6.5 apiece.
Nwosu is the second free agent to depart his former team to join Seattle this offseason. The Seahawks previously struck a one-year deal with former Chicago Bears cornerback Artie Burns.
