Cardinals bring back Green on 1-year deal
The Arizona Cardinals re-signed wide receiver A.J. Green to a one-year contract, the team announced Thursday.
Green, who'll turn 34 in July, had 54 catches for 848 yards and three touchdowns during his first season with the Cardinals in 2021.
He rejoins a receiving corps headlined by DeAndre Hopkins and Rondale Moore. Arizona needed to bolster its wideout group after losing Christian Kirk to the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency.
The Cardinals have focused on retaining their own talent, re-signing tight end Zach Ertz and running back James Conner, among others.
Green established himself as one of the NFL's premier receivers during nine campaigns with the Cincinnati Bengals, producing six 1,000-yard seasons and earning seven Pro Bowl nominations.
