Packers bolster pass rush, take Kingsley Enagbare at end of 5th round

The Green Bay Packers selected South Carolina pass-rusher Kingsley Enagbare in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, No. 179 overall.

Enagbare was the Packers' third pick used on defense after they selected linebacker Quay Walker and defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt in the first round.

Green Bay suffered a significant loss in the pass-rush department with the departure of Za'Darius Smith, who only suited up for one regular-season game in 2021 due to a back injury.

Enagbare recorded 15 sacks over four seasons at South Carolina. He was also a stout run defender, notching 24 tackles for a loss.

Enagbare isn't going to wow anyone with his pass-rush potential. Despite his features, he just doesn't have the twitchiness to carry a high ceiling in that aspect. However, he comes with a high floor thanks to his monstrous traits - including length and power. He dominates in the trenches by manhandling competitors and has impressive torque to whip those who dare get in his way. He may not be a jaw-dropping prospect like others on the list, but teams always have room for stout run defenders with the pass-rush power to be a challenge at times.
