The Atlanta Falcons cut running back Mike Davis on Monday, a source told ESPN's Michael Rothstein.
Davis, 29, spent just one season with the Falcons, where he tallied 138 rushes for 503 yards and three touchdowns through all 17 games.
Atlanta is moving on from Davis after using its fifth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft on BYU's Tyler Allgeier. Allgeier played four campaigns in college but truly made a jump last season, posting 276 rushes for 1,601 yards and 23 touchdowns while helping lead the Cougars to a 10-3 record.
The San Francisco 49ers drafted Davis in 2015, and he spent time with the Seattle Seahawks, Carolina Panthers, and Chicago Bears before his last stint with the Falcons.
