Ravens' Dobbins 'damn sure' he'll be ready for Week 1
Baltimore Ravens running back J.K. Dobbins is confident he'll be ready for the start of the regular season after tearing his ACL last August.
Dobbins pushed back on a report Monday from Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, who said the running back isn't expected to play in Week 1 and possibly several more games.
Dobbins was widely projected to be a breakout candidate last season after racking up 805 yards and nine touchdowns as a rookie in 2020. But the 23-year-old went down with a season-ending knee injury in the club's preseason finale.
It was the beginning of a rash of injuries that derailed Baltimore's season. Most notably, cornerback Marcus Peters and running back Gus Edwards suffered torn ACLs on back-to-back plays in a September practice, while left tackle Ronnie Stanley missed most of the campaign with an ankle injury.
Dobbins continued to hype up his return on Twitter.
