Donald swings Bengals helmets during wild brawl at joint practice
Aaron Donald was at the center of a massive fight between the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday.
A video of the joint practice showed the star defensive tackle swinging two Bengals helmets and being pushed to the ground during the brawl.
A close-up of the three-time Defensive Player of the Year carrying both helmets was also captured.
The Rams and Bengals, who faced off in Super Bowl LVI in February, ended the fiery session early after multiple incidents.
"It got a little scuffley, and so we just called it," Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said, according to NFL.com's Eric Edholm. "We were in the last period. We got two really good days of work in. Was it worth getting the extra couple of plays? No. So we called it off."
Teams are responsible for overseeing players' conduct at practice, not the NFL. The league is unlikely to impose any discipline for Donald or others involved in the incident, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Donald has a history of getting heated in joint practices. He sparked a brawl with the Dallas Cowboys last year after fighting with offensive lineman Connor Williams.
