Bears' Justin Jones thinks Deflategate is 'still going on'
Chicago Bears defensive lineman Justin Jones still has some suspicions about the New England Patriots and their footballs.
Jones was asked Thursday by Mark Carman of CHGO Sports to share the first thing that pops into his head when he hears the name Bill Belichick.
"Deflated balls," Jones replied, referencing the Patriots' 2015 Deflategate scandal.
Jones went on to say that he believes the Patriots are still deflating footballs, and he plans on checking them before the Bears' game against New England on Monday.
"I heard it's still going on," he said. "So I'm gonna check (the footballs) before we go. I'm so serious. I heard it's still going on, so we gonna see. I'm for sure checking. ... We play this game with honesty, man. You know what I'm saying?"

An NFL investigation determined that Tom Brady and the Patriots deliberately deflated footballs in their 45-7 victory over the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Championship Game on Jan. 18, 2015. Brady was subsequently suspended four games, while the team was fined $1 million and forfeited two draft picks.
Jones is in his first season with the Bears after spending the last four years with the Los Angeles Chargers.
