Julio active for TNF vs. Ravens after 3-game absence
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' offense is getting reinforcements for Thursday Night Football.
Wide receiver Julio Jones is active for the game against the Baltimore Ravens after missing the last three contests with a knee injury, sources told Mike Garafolo and Sara Walsh of NFL Network. Jones also missed Weeks 2 and 3.
Jones has struggled to establish himself in his limited action during his debut season in Tampa Bay, catching four passes for 76 yards and zero touchdowns. He recorded most of his production in the season opener.
With Russell Gage not playing due to a hamstring injury, the seven-time Pro Bowler should see significant action alongside Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.
The Bucccaneers' offense has failed to live up to the standard set in Tom Brady's first two campaigns with the team.
The NFC South club is tied for 26th in points per game with 17.7 and averaged the third-fewest points in the NFL over their last three contests with 14.
Tampa Bay sits at 3-4 after losing four of its last five games, including back-to-back defeats to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Carolina Panthers.
