Report: Cardinals' Murray expected to be game-time decision vs. 49ers

Quarterback Kyler Murray is expected to be a game-time decision when the Arizona Cardinals play the San Francisco 49ers in Mexico City on Monday, according to ESPN's Josh Weinfuss.

A hamstring injury kept Murray out of action last week, and he was a limited participant in the week's first practice. The two-time Pro Bowler tested his injury at the start of Friday's session by running the length of the field, reports Weinfuss.

Head coach Kliff Kingsbury said that Murray was "progressing" from his injury and "has come a long way."

The star passer missed the Cardinals' 27-17 win against the Los Angeles Rams last weekend after also being a game-time decision. Backup Colt McCoy started the contest but was replaced by Trace McSorley after sustaining a knee injury.

Murray recently revealed that he initially sustained the injury in the team's Week 8 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.

Kingsbury said he's optimistic that at least one of Murray or McCoy will be available for the team's Monday Night Football matchup, according to team reporter Darren Urban.

Murray has tallied 2,168 passing yards, 12 touchdowns, and six interceptions while completing 66.7% of his passes this season. He's also added 359 rushing yards and two scores on the ground.
