Jets' Saleh won't commit to starting Zach Wilson for Week 12
New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh isn't committing to Zach Wilson as the starting quarterback for Week 12 against the Chicago Bears.
"We're keeping everything on the table," Saleh said during his press conference Monday, adding that he needs to review the tape before making a decision at quarterback.
Wilson struggled in Sunday's loss to the New England Patriots, completing only nine passes for 77 yards. The Jets' offense had just two yards of offense in the second half.
"When you put up 100 yards of offense ... it's unacceptable," Saleh said, according to Andy Vasquez of NJ Advance Media. He added that the way the offense played "was not NFL football."
Wilson has started 20 games for the Jets since they drafted him second overall in 2021. He's thrown for 1,279 yards with four touchdowns and five interceptions this season.
Joe Flacco started the first three games of the season for the Jets as Wilson recovered from a preseason knee injury. Flacco threw for 901 yards with five touchdowns and three interceptions during that stretch.
Mike White is slated as the second quarterback on the Jets' depth chart.
