Fields questionable vs. Jets with injury to non-throwing shoulder

Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields is questionable for Sunday's game against the New York Jets due to a non-throwing shoulder injury.

"He's feeling better every single day," head coach Matt Eberflus said Friday, according to Adam Jahns of The Athletic.

Eberflus added that he expects the Bears will make a decision about Fields' status on Sunday. Fields is reportedly dealing with a shoulder dislocation.

The young signal-caller appeared to suffer the injury in the fourth quarter of last week's loss to the Atlanta Falcons. He finished the contest while seemingly in pain and threw a late game-sealing interception.

Chicago is all but eliminated from playoff contention after producing a 3-8 record during the first 11 weeks of the season.

But Fields made significant strides in his sophomore campaign despite the Bears' struggles.

He has thrown for 1,642 yards and 13 touchdowns against eight interceptions while adding seven scores on the ground. His 834 rushing yards top all quarterbacks.
