Titans' Henry unlikely to play vs. Cowboys on TNF
Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry is doubtful for Thursday's matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, the team announced Wednesday.
Henry has been a limited participant during the team's last two practice sessions with a hip injury.
The soon-to-be 29-year-old earned his third Pro Bowl nod after rushing for 1,429 yards and 13 touchdowns with a 4.5 yards per carry average. He also hauled in 32 receptions for 379 yards through 15 games.
The star tailback is among several starters expected to miss the Week 17 contest. Ryan Tannehill, Jeffrey Simmons, and Bud Dupree are among eight players who have already been ruled out this week.
Tennessee can clinch a spot in the playoffs in its final game next week, which goes against its division rivals, the Jacksonville Jaguars. Both teams share an identical 7-8 record with two weeks remaining in the regular season.
The Titans lost 36-22 in the first meeting between the teams in Week 14.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys could be without one of their top tailbacks after listing Tony Pollard as questionable with a thigh injury. Star pass-rusher Micah Parsons' availability is also in question due to a hand ailment.
