Greg Olsen issues warning over possibly losing analyst job to Brady
Greg Olsen appears prepared to put up a fight to keep his analyst job on Fox Sports' No. 1 NFL broadcast team.
While speaking at a recent event in Charlotte, the former NFL tight end made it clear that he won't give up the role easily with Tom Brady set to join Fox Sports in 2024.
"I have all the respect in the world for Tom Brady. I mean, who doesn't, right? He's the greatest. I get it, I understand why they went after him," Olsen said. "But I'm not gonna roll over and die.
"I'm willing to do what these guys aren't willing to do. And until they kick me out, I'm gonna sit there and do it. Maybe (Brady) does come and take my job one day. I can live with that, I get it. I understand the rules that we all sign up for. I don't ask for anybody's sympathy, it's been awesome."
Brady, who retired from the NFL earlier this month, signed a 10-year, $375-million deal with Fox Sports in 2022 to become the network's lead NFL analyst. He's set to begin his role in the fall of 2024.
Olsen joined the Fox Sports broadcasting team full time in 2021 and just called his first Super Bowl alongside play-by-play partner Kevin Burkhardt.
