Lazard will be picky in free agency: 'I've been very spoiled' with Packers
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard plans to be "bougie" as a free agent picking his next team.
"I've been very spoiled the past four or five years to be in the Packers organization," Lazard told SiriusXM NFL Radio. He added: "I'm almost sort of bougie, I feel like, in what I'm going to be wanting out of another organization because I have such high expectations."
Lazard has been with the Packers since the team signed him off the Jacksonville Jaguars' practice squad in 2018. He's played in 57 NFL games since inking a deal with Green Bay.
The 27-year-old led the Packers with 788 receiving yards this past campaign after they dealt star wide receiver Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders last offseason.
But Lazard, who's totaled 2,229 receiving yards since 2019, said Green Bay won't sign him before free agency.
"My agent, I believe, has started to talk to them a little bit in recent weeks, but they haven't said anything as far as preventing me from going to the open market," he said.
The free-agent wideout market is slim this offseason, so Lazard could be out of the Packers' price range. He ranks 46th among theScore's top 50 free agents for 2023.
