Texas A&M's Achane captures top spot in RB 40-yard dash at combine
The running backs took the field for the final day at the NFL Scouting Combine on Sunday, with Texas A&M's Devon Achane posting the group's fastest time in the 40-yard dash.

Achane racked up 1,102 yards and 12 total touchdowns last season with the Aggies, including a kickoff return TD.
Texas' Bijan Robinson is the reigning winner of the Doak Walker Award, given to the nation's best collegiate running back. He racked up 1,580 yards and 18 touchdowns, averaging 6.1 yards per carry last season. He also hauled in 19 receptions for 314 yards and two scores.

Jahmyr Gibbs spent just one season with Alabama, yet made an immediate impact by tallying a team-high 926 yards to go along with seven rushing TDs. The Georgia Tech transfer also racked up 44 receptions for 444 yards and three scores last season with the Crimson Tide.
Chase Brown helped spur Illinois to an 8-5 record while ranking fourth in the FBS with 1,883 all-purpose yards in 2022.
Tulane's Tyjae Spears and Kansas State's Deuce Vaughn are among 11 invitees who didn't participate in the 40-yard dash.
