Report: Eagles expected to keep Slay after report of release
Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Darius Slay is expected to remain with the team, sources told Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Reports earlier Wednesday indicated the Eagles expected to release Slay after the sides failed to agree on a contract extension.
However, Philadelphia never officially released Slay and kept in contact with him throughout the day to try to work out a resolution, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.
Slay reacted to the news on social media Wednesday night.

Slay suited up for the Eagles over the last three seasons after Philadelphia acquired him from the Lions in 2020.
The 32-year-old started all 17 games for the Eagles last campaign, recording three interceptions with 14 passes defended.
