Metcalf says he's tried to set up race vs. Tyreek Hill for 2 years

DK Metcalf is eager to put his speed to the test against fellow wideout Tyreek Hill, but logistical issues have prevented a race from happening.

During an appearance Wednesday on FS1's "Undisputed," Metcalf explained how he and his people have been trying to reach an agreement with Hill for two years now. He then issued another challenge to the Miami Dolphins wide receiver.

"We've been trying to come to an agreement for two years, just ain't worked out," Metcalf said. "You've seen me run in a track meet. I didn't race against no 30-year-olds, but I raced against real track and field athletes. So whenever you want to do that and hop on the track, let me know."

The Seattle Seahawks wide receiver said the primary issue is the date, as Hill wants to race in July, while Metcalf feels that's too close to the start of the NFL season.

Hill won the men's 60-meter dash at the USA Track & Field Masters Indoor Championships in Louisville, Kentucky, in March, clocking in at 6.70 seconds.

Metcalf last competed in track at the USATF Golden Games and Distance Open in 2021, finishing last in a nine-man 100m field with a time of 10.37 seconds.
