Cornerback Richard Marshall was released by the Dolphins on Tuesday.

ProFootballTalk is reporting that Marshall will receive $6.1 million from the Dolphins, despite playing in only four games.

Marshall received a signing bonus of $3.5 million, a fully-guaranteed base salary of $2.5 million in 2012, and workout bonuses of $50,000 in 2012 and 2013.

Marshall played in only four games for the Dolphins last season. His season ended prematurely because of a back injury.
