Chandler Jones rips Raiders on IG after being locked out of team facility
The season hasn't even begun, and the drama is already starting for the Las Vegas Raiders.
Raiders pass-rusher Chandler Jones took to Instagram on Tuesday to criticize the team after he was locked out of the club's gym.
Jones also took aim at Raiders coach Josh McDaniels and general manager Dave Ziegler before suggesting he wants out of Las Vegas.
"It's a shame that I am a top athlete with 112 sacks in the NFL and I have to go to a local gym to work out during the season for no apparent reason," Jones wrote in a text message. "This is wild to me Josh and you know it, you need to do what's right."
The 33-year-old has since deleted the critical Instagram stories.
Jones is entering his second season with the AFC West team after joining on a three-year, $51-million free-agent deal last offseason. The Raiders failed to live up to expectations in 2022, finishing 6-11 to miss the playoffs.
The veteran defensive end also struggled to perform to his usual standards, producing the fewest sacks of his career (4.5) for a season in which he played at least 14 games.
The Raiders are slated to open the campaign Sunday on the road against the Denver Broncos.
