USC's Williams aims to win more Super Bowls than Brady
USC quarterback Caleb Williams has set a lofty goal for his NFL career.
The Trojans star, who's the consensus favorite to be selected first overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, revealed in an interview with Sam Schube of GQ that he wants to win eight Super Bowls to surpass future Hall of Famer Tom Brady.
"Tom Brady has seven," Williams said. "So you got to set the bar high."
Brady won six Super Bowl championships with the New England Patriots and one as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the most by any player in NFL history. He also holds the record for the most Super Bowl MVP awards with five.
Williams threw for 4,537 yards with 42 touchdowns and five interceptions as a sophomore last season. He won the Heisman Trophy, beating out TCU's Max Duggan, Ohio State's C.J. Stroud, and Georgia's Stetson Bennett, all of whom have since been drafted into the NFL.
Through two games this season, Williams has completed 73.5% of his passes for 597 yards, nine touchdowns, and zero interceptions.
