Browns 'hopeful' Watson can play vs. Ravens despite right shoulder injury

Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson is dealing with an injury to his throwing shoulder and is listed as questionable, but head coach Kevin Stefanski is "hopeful" he can play Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens, according to Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal.

Stefanski said Watson did some "light" throwing once Friday's practice was closed to the media and took some reps with the first-team offense.

The quarterback was listed as limited on Wednesday and Thursday. He didn't throw at all during the media portion of the former session and only in a limited capacity during the latter practice.

Rookie backup Dorian Thompson-Robinson would be in line to start if Watson can't suit up in Week 4.

Watson apparently suffered the injury during a third-quarter run in which he took a shot to the shoulder from Tennessee Titans safety Amani Hooker.

The 28-year-old has completed 63.7% of his passes for 678 yards and four touchdowns against two interceptions this season. He's also rushed for 83 yards and one score.

Both Cleveland and Baltimore sit at 2-1 through three weeks of the campaign.
