Seattle Seahawks star DK Metcalf provided some bulletin-board material to Cincinnati Bengals receiver Ja'Marr Chase ahead of Sunday's matchup.

Metcalf expressed his admiration for Chase's game during a press conference Wednesday before adding a small dig at his Week 6 opponent.

"The long ball that I think (Joe) Burrow threw to him, like a 70-yard bomb, (I appreciate) just how effortlessly he caught the ball," Metcalf said. "He's just a great receiver. I tip my hat off to him with what he's done the first three years in the league. So, it'll be fun to watch Sunday.

"But I think Spoon will get the best of him."

Devon Witherspoon has quickly impressed those outside Seattle's locker room early in his rookie campaign. The 2023 fifth overall selection recorded his first career interception and took it back 97 yards for his first career touchdown in the Week 4 win over the New York Giants. The 22-year-old has racked up 23 tackles, two tackles for loss, and two sacks in three games of action.

He'll likely be tasked with covering Chase on Sunday. The prolific wideout was named the AFC's Offensive Player of the Week after recording a franchise-record 15 receptions to go along with 192 receiving yards and three touchdowns against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 5.

The Seahawks could be down a pair of cornerbacks as Coby Bryant (toe) and Artie Burns (hamstring) continue to work their way back from injuries.

Witherspoon has earned a 72.3 coverage grade after allowing 11 receptions for 114 yards and one score prior to Seattle's bye week.

Metcalf praised the Illinois product for bringing the same intensity to games that he's shown during practice.

"He's been fun to watch. It was a great pick," he said.
