New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave was arrested Monday night in Kenner, Louisiana, for reckless operation of a motor vehicle, police confirmed to NFL Media's Grant Gordon.
Olave was driving 70 mph in a 35-mph zone, police said. The 23-year-old was booked into the Kenner jail Monday night and was released at 11:30 p.m., according to ESPN's Katherine Terrell.
The Saints said they were aware of Olave's arrest.
New Orleans selected Olave, a former Ohio State standout, with the No. 11 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. He's the team's leading receiver through the first seven games of the 2023 campaign, recording 39 receptions for 471 yards and one touchdown.
The Saints travel to take on the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
