The Buffalo Bills bolstered their secondary by acquiring cornerback Rasul Douglas from the Green Bay Packers shortly before Tuesday's 4 p.m. ET trade deadline, both teams announced.

Buffalo sent a third-round pick to Green Bay for Douglas and a fifth-rounder.

Douglas started the first seven games of the season for Green Bay, registering 32 total tackles, one interception, and six pass defenses.

The 28-year-old will act as a much-needed veteran presence for the Super Bowl hopefuls.

Pro Bowler Tre'Davious White is out for the rest of the season with an Achilles injury, and Dane Jackson has struggled at times as his replacement. Former first-rounder Kaiir Elam has fallen out of favor with the Bills.

The Philadelphia Eagles selected Douglas in the third round in 2017. He spent three seasons in Philadelphia before playing one year with the Carolina Panthers.

Douglas joined Green Bay ahead of the 2021 campaign, snagging 10 interceptions in 36 games during his tenure.
