The Seahawks piled up on defensive end depth in the offseason, and it looks like they may need every bit of it come Week 1. In addition to Avril's hamstring injury, Chris Clemons is still rehabbing from a torn ACL, while Michael Bennett is dealing with an unspecified toe issue. All of that is before mentioning Bruce Irvin, who was moved to outside linebacker but figures to see time as a situational pass rusher once his four-game suspension is up. However this plays out, it may be hard to find IDP value once everyone starts to get healthy. The Seahawks simply have too many talented linemen to ensure that there are enough snaps to go around. Avril's track record (29 sacks in the last three season) puts him near the top of the pecking order but won't necessarily be enough to keep him on the field as a three-down player.
