Jake Delhomme never got over losing Super Bowl
The pain of losing a Super Bowl runs deep for Jake Delhomme.
It was 10 years ago that the former Carolina Panthers quarterback lead the team to its lone Super Bowl appearance. The 2003 NFC Champions lost Super Bowl XXXVIII to the New England Patriots, 14-6. In MMQB's 10 Things I Think I Think, Delhomme revealed that he still isn't over the loss.
"I think it's difficult to ever truly get over losing a Super Bowl. You understand how hard it is to get there and how hard they are to win. The way we lost it in Carolina, on a field goal, that's even worse. Yet at the same time, we made it to one, and so many people don't."
