Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones was taken to the locker room on a cart after sustaining a knee injury during Sunday's 23-20 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.

Jones appeared to get his leg stuck during a 2-yard gain in the second quarter. He stayed on the ground before being assisted to the team's medical tent.

Green Bay confirmed Jones sustained a knee injury.

The 28-year-old tailback rushed for 14 yards on four carries before leaving the game. He also had a reception for 3 yards.

"It looked bad. Seeing it live, it didn't look good. But he's in good spirits in there, so hopefully it's just a short-term deal," head coach Matt LaFleur said postgame, according to USA Today's Ryan Wood.

Jones has dealt with injuries throughout the year. He missed a pair of games after sustaining a hamstring injury in the Packers' season opener against the Chicago Bears.

The veteran halfback is on pace for career lows in his seventh season. Jones has rushed for 231 yards and two touchdowns while averaging 3.73 yards per carry. He's also added 18 receptions for 166 yards and one score.

Running back Emanuel Wilson (shoulder) was also carted off Sunday. Green Bay will likely lean on AJ Dillon if both rushers miss more time.
