Dolphins' Achane set to return vs. Commanders
Rookie running back De'Von Achane is set to make his return to the Miami Dolphins' lineup after missing the team's Week 12 win with a knee injury.
Head coach Mike McDaniel confirmed Friday that the tailback has the green light to play against the Washington Commanders on Sunday.
The Texas A&M product returned from injured reserve in Week 11 but appeared to re-aggravate the ailment after just two touches. Achane exploded out of the gates, tallying three straight games with over 100 rushing yards, including 203 yards and four touchdowns in a win against the Denver Broncos.
The 22-year-old sports a league-high 11.8 yards per carry average.
Miami has been leaning on Raheem Mostert as its lead back, with Jeff Wilson Jr. and Darrynton Evans also receiving snaps.
