Panthers activate Horn, Chinn, Gross-Matos off IR
The Carolina Panthers activated cornerback Jaycee Horn, safety Jeremy Chinn, and linebacker Yetur Gross-Matos off injured reserve, the team announced Saturday.
Carolina placed Chinn on injured reserve after he suffered a quad injury in Week 6 against the Miami Dolphins, while Gross-Matos has also been out since the Dolphins contest due to a hamstring ailment.
Although Horn will be available, it's unclear if he'll suit up in the team's Week 13 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.
Horn hasn't played since Week 1 against the Atlanta Falcons. He was forced to leave the game with a hamstring injury and didn't return. The South Carolina product was placed on injured reserve the following week.
Carolina has the worst record in the league at 1-10, but it's been very stout against the pass, allowing the fourth-lowest yards through the air per game this season.
The 24-year-old has battled injuries since he was selected eighth overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. He suffered a broken foot in his rookie year that ended his season after just three games. He was also forced to miss four contests last year due to a chest injury.
Horn has four interceptions and eight passes defended in 17 career games with the Panthers.
