Steelers' Harris questionable for TNF vs. Patriots
Running back Najee Harris is listed as questionable ahead of the Pittsburgh Steelers' matchup against the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football.
Harris did not participate in both Tuesday and Wednesday's practice session due to a knee injury.
The 6-foot-1, 242-pound tailback has rushed for 661 yards and four touchdowns and is on pace to set a career high with an average of 4.2 yards per carry. He has found the end zone in three of his past five contests.
If Harris is unavailable for the Week 14 contest, the Steelers' run game will likely rely on Jaylen Warren. The second-year halfback leads Pittsburgh with 5.9 yards per carry and has accounted for 884 scrimmage yards to go along with three total touchdowns.
Anthony McFarland Jr. and Godwin Igwebuike could also get playing time behind Warren.
Pittsburgh could be without both starters in its backfield, as quarterback Kenny Pickett was ruled out after undergoing surgery for a high ankle sprain this week. Mitch Trubisky will get the start against the Patriots with Pickett sidelined.
The Patriots also enter Thursday's contest with issues at running back. Rhamondre Stevenson is set to miss time after suffering a high ankle sprain last weekend. Veteran Ezekiel Elliott is expected to see a majority of New England's carries with Stevenson on the mend.
