Browns' Flacco starts vs. Jaguars
Quarterback Joe Flacco started for the Cleveland Browns in their Week 14 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Browns elevated Flacco from the practice squad Saturday. In a corresponding move, the team waived quarterback P.J. Walker, opening the door for Dorian Thompson-Robinson to be Flacco's backup.
Head coach Kevin Stefanski wouldn't commit to a starter for Sunday's contest, but Flacco took a "healthy share" of first-team reps in practice this week, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.
The 38-year-old will get his second consecutive start after getting the nod against the Los Angeles Rams last week. He completed 23 of 44 passes for 254 yards with two touchdowns and one interception in the game. Flacco's the fourth Browns signal-caller to start a contest this season.
Cleveland signed Flacco to the practice squad on Nov. 20 after losing starting quarterback Deshaun Watson for the season to a shoulder injury.
The 7-5 Browns face off against the 8-4 Jaguars on Sunday.
