Ravens' Andrews to return for AFC title game

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews will return for Sunday's AFC Championship Game clash with the Kansas City Chiefs after being activated from injured reserve, head coach John Harbaugh announced Friday, according to ESPN's Jamison Hensley.

Andrews missed the final six regular-season games and Baltimore's divisional-round win over the Houston Texans with an ankle injury.

The three-time Pro Bowler produced 45 catches for 544 yards and six touchdowns before getting hurt.

Andrews has often been quarterback Lamar Jackson's go-to target, especially in third-down and red-zone situations. The tight end was named a first-team All-Pro in 2021 after racking up 107 catches for 1,361 yards and nine scores.

The return of Andrews gives Jackson a near-full complement of weapons for his battle against Patrick Mahomes and Co., including receivers Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, and Odell Beckham Jr., as well as tight end Isaiah Likely.

Likely has impressed in relief duty for Andrews, earning 356 yards and six touchdowns over the last seven contests.

Harbaugh also said he's "confident" Marlon Humphrey will suit up against the Chiefs but added that he doesn't know for certain if the cornerback can play. Humphrey, who was listed as questionable, missed the win over the Texans with a calf injury.

Cornerback Rock Ya-Sin (knee) and wide receiver Tylan Wallace (knee) were also given the questionable designation, while linebacker Del'Shawn Phillips (shoulder) is doubtful.
