The Super Bowl LVIII game coin used to determine whether the Kansas City Chiefs or San Francisco 49ers would receive the ball first in overtime fetched over $26,000 in an online auction.
Bidding on the coin started at $800 and had reached $26,300 when the auction came to a close Wednesday, with proceeds from the sale supporting the Luna Strong's Maui relief efforts, according to the NFL Auction website.
The Chiefs' and 49ers' logos appear on one side of the coin, while the other side features the Super Bowl LVIII logo and commissioner Roger Goodell's signature.

The 49ers won the overtime coin toss and elected to receive - a decision that later drew scrutiny due to the NFL's new playoff overtime rules that guarantee both teams get at least one possession.
Multiple 49ers players admitted they weren't made aware of the new rules before the Super Bowl, though head coach Kyle Shanahan said he asked his assistants to go over the rules with the team.
The Chiefs defeated the 49ers 25-22 to capture their second straight Super Bowl championship and third title in five years.
