Report: Seahawks' Lockett inks revised 2-year, $30M deal
The Seattle Seahawks have agreed to terms on a restructured deal with receiver Tyler Lockett, a source told NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.
Lockett's new contract is for two years and worth $30 million, with a maximum value of $34 million. It also includes $13 million guaranteed this season.
Lockett had two years and $34 million remaining on his previous deal, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. The move allows Seattle to create some added cap space while guaranteeing Lockett's roster spot.
The former All-Pro wideout was set to account for a $26.8-million cap hit under his previous agreement, per Over the Cap. Seattle currently has over $42 million in cap space ahead of free agency.
Lockett is the latest Seahawk to restructure their contract after quarterback Geno Smith also reworked his deal in February. The 31-year-old will return to a wide receiving corps that features DK Metcalf and Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
The 2015 third-round pick posted four consecutive seasons of 1,000-plus yards from 2019-2022. Lockett led all Seattle pass-catchers in 2023 with 79 receptions to go along with 894 yards and five touchdowns.
