Rivers: I'm sick that we're not 1-0

by Kyle Smith

The San Diego Chargers were cruising through three quarters on Monday. They had a 28-14 lead over the Houston Texans and Philip Rivers was putting on an absolute aerial clinic, throwing four touchdown passes.

It was a fantastic start for a quarterback in desperate need of a bounce back season.

Unfortunately for the Chargers, with under ten minutes left in the game, Rivers threw a pick-six to Texans' linebacker Brian Cushing and the Texans were on their way to a stunning comeback victory.

Naturally, Rivers didn't take the loss very well.

“Every game stings that you lose. You lose this way, and it stings a little more,” Rivers said. “I’m sick that we’re not 1-0. But it is just one game. We’ve got 15 more.”

The Chargers travel to Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Sunday take on the Eagles.
