Colts re-signing Moore to 3-year, $30M contract
The Indianapolis Colts are re-signing cornerback Kenny Moore II to a new three-year deal worth $30 million, his agents told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The pact will make Moore the highest-paid nickel cornerback in NFL history, adds Schefter.
Indianapolis has focused on retaining its own free agents during the early legal tampering period.
With a young group of cornerbacks headlined by 2023 rookies JuJu Brents and Jaylon Jones, it was important for the Colts to re-sign the most experienced member of their secondary.
After joining the New England Patriots in 2017 as an undrafted free agent, Moore landed with the Colts later that same year and quickly became an integral part of the club's secondary.
The 28-year-old has made 103 appearances (89 starts) and earned one Pro Bowl nomination in seven seasons. He boasts 17 interceptions, 516 tackles, and 55 pass defenses in his career.
