Bengals sign Trent Brown to 1-year deal
Free-agent offensive tackle Trent Brown signed a one-year deal with the Cincinnati Bengals after visiting with the team Tuesday, the team announced.
Brown has split time between left tackle and right tackle throughout his career, which began in 2015 as a seventh-round pick of the San Francisco 49ers.
The 30-year-old has had two stints with the New England Patriots (2018 and 2021-23) and spent two seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders in between.
Brown - who made the Pro Bowl in 2019 - produced another solid campaign while playing left tackle for the Patriots last year. He was left in one-on-one situations at a position-high 88.3% of his snaps, and he allowed pressure on those plays at the second-lowest rate (7.1%), according to Next Gen Stats.
With Orlando Brown Jr. at left tackle, Brown will likely replace former first-round pick Jonah Williams - who signed with the Arizona Cardinals in free agency - at right tackle.
