Report: Kelce in talks to host 'Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?' reboot
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce could be adding to his entertainment credits this offseason.
The four-time first-team All-Pro is in discussions to host a celebrity-focused reboot of the game show "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?" that would be streamed on Amazon Prime, sources told Variety's Brian Steinberg. The new version of the series would rely on celebrity guests rather than children.
The game show has featured multiple reboots. The 2019 version of the series aired on Nickelodeon with John Cena serving as its host.
Kelce, 34, has seen his profile increase over the past few years. His entertainment credits include an appearance on "Saturday Night Live" and the reality series "Catching Kelce." He also co-hosts a widely popular "New Heights" podcast alongside his brother and recently retired NFL offensive lineman Jason Kelce.
Amazon Prime Video declined to comment on the potential negotiations. Kelce's agents could not be reached for comment, per Steinberg.
The nine-time Pro Bowler continues to enjoy an incredible run after capturing his third Super Bowl title alongside head coach Andy Reid and quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Kelce is set to enter his 12th NFL season in 2024 and has publicly shared his desire for the Chiefs to complete a three-peat after back-to-back Super Bowl wins.
