Report: Browns adding Foreman
The Cleveland Browns are signing free-agent running back D'Onta Foreman, sources told Bleacher Report's Jordan Schultz.
Foreman spent the 2023 campaign with the Chicago Bears. He rushed for 425 yards and four touchdowns over nine games. The 27-year-old primarily split carries in Chicago with Roschon Johnson and Khalil Herbert.
Foreman is set to join the fifth team of his career since entering the league in 2017. The Texas product has also spent stints with the Tennessee Titans, Carolina Panthers, and Houston Texans, who drafted him.
The Browns' tailback group is expected to be led by Nick Chubb, who's working his way back from a significant knee injury. Jerome Ford and Nyheim Hines are among the other options at halfback.
Kareem Hunt, who led Cleveland with nine rushing scores in 2023, is a free agent. The Browns finished 11th in the NFL last season with 118.6 rushing yards per game.
Foreman has run for 2,326 yards and averaged 4.2 yards per carry during his career. He's also added 34 catches for 342 yards and three scores.
