Burrow supports taunting in NFL: 'We're all grown adults'

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has no issue with players taunting each other during games.

While speaking with Travis and Jason Kelce at a live taping of the "New Heights" podcast Thursday night, Burrow said he's "pro-taunting" and doesn't take offense when others celebrate that way.

"We're all grown adults that work really hard at what we do. And sometimes we'd like to show it," Burrow said, according to Olivia Ray of WLWT. "I'm not gonna get my feelings hurt if somebody sacks me and taunts me like you made a play."

Burrow has made his stance known before. After Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers was flagged for taunting during the AFC Championship Game in January, Burrow called on the NFL to "let the guys taunt."

The NFL started cracking down more on taunting in 2021, drawing widespread criticism. Current league rules state that a 15-yard unsportsmanlike penalty can be called on any player "using baiting or taunting acts or words that may engender ill will between teams."
