The Chicago Bears drafted an award-winning punter in the fourth round Sunday, but new quarterback Caleb Williams doesn't expect him to see the field often.
Williams, who Chicago selected first overall Thursday, has been tasked with turning the Bears' offense into a prolific attack. The USC product indicated to Tory Taylor that he'll do exactly that and keep the punter's role to a minimum.
Taylor, a 26-year-old from Australia, won the Ray Guy Award as college football's top punter in 2023. He became the first punter taken in the 2024 draft, coming off the board at No. 122.
