Ex-NFL WR Lloyd starring in straight-to-video zombie movie
Add Brandon Lloyd to the list of guys making the transition from the gridiron to the big screen. Actually, more like the small screen. (Though, if you own a 60-inch television, that would be more like an in-between screen.)
The former NFL wide receiver will appear in the straight-to-DVD zombie thriller "After Effect," due out Oct. 8. Lloyd plays a street-wise police officer (because aren't they all?) in the low-budget film, which centers around college students who join a research study only to find out that they've actually volunteered their bodies for a military experiment. Whoops.
Here's a clip of Lloyd in action (NOTE: graphic content at the end of the clip):
Daniel Baldwin also stars in the film, so it has to be good.
Lloyd turned to acting after being cut by the New England Patriots in mid-August, then declaring he was done with football. Though, if he ever does decide to come back, having experience dealing with lifeless entities should make him a perfect candidate to join the Jacksonville Jaguars' offense.
