Saints rule out S Harper for Sunday
New Orleans Saints safety Roman Harper has been ruled out for Week 3 with a knee injury per the team's injury report.
Harper, like fellow safety Isa Abdul-Quddus, hadn't practiced all week. Abdul-Quddus has also been declared out due to an ankle injury. That will put extra pressure on safeties Malcolm Jenkins and Kenny Vaccaro who both played every defensive snap last week.
Also of concern for New Orleans is guard Jahri Evans. Evans is questionable with a hamstring injury, which could put his streak of 114 straight starts in jeopardy.
Also questionable for the Saints are running back Mark Ingram (toe), nose tackle Brodrick Bunkley (calf), and defensive ends Glenn Foster (ankle), Tom Johnson (hamstring), and Tyrunn Walker (knee).
Of the six questionable Saints, only Foster and Walker have practiced this week and both of them did so on a limited basis.
