ATL 23, MIA 27: Dolphins improve to 3-0 with late touchdown
Ryan Tannehill hooked up with Dion Sims on a one-yard touchdown with under a minute to play as the Miami Dolphins improved to 3-0 with a 27-23 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Here's what you need to know:
- The touchdown for Sims was the first of his career
- The Falcons had a chance to extend their lead late up 23-20, but Matt Bryant missed a 35-yard field goal
- Jimmy Wilson picked off a pass from Matt Ryan on the Falcons' final possession to seal the win
- Tannehill was sacked five times and has now been sacked 14 times already this season
- linebacker Koa Misi (shoulder) and defensive end Cameron Wake (knee) both left the game for the Dolphins and did not return
- The Dolphins are 3-0 for the first time since 2002
- Tannehill finished the game 24-of-35 for 236 yards with two touchdowns and an interception
- Ryan had a similar line, finishing 23-of-38 for 231 yards with two touchdowns and an interception
- Jason Snelling did a bit of everything for Atlanta in the loss. He ran the ball 11 times for 53 yards and also caught four passes for 58 yards and a touchdown
