Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts expressed his faith in each of the club's owner, general manager, and head coach heading into the 2024 season.

"I'm excited to be back, excited to go through this journey and to go through this season with everyone here," Hurts said Monday, according to Eliot Shorr-Parks of 94WIP.

He added, "I trust Mr. Lurie, I trust Howie (Roseman), I trust Coach Sirianni to lead us in the right direction."

Hurts and Sirianni's partnership has been a hot topic around the NFL this offseason. The relationship between the two reportedly remains "a work in progress," and the team's 10-1 start to last campaign was considered a "grind."

One of the main problems affecting their relationship was reportedly Sirianni's conservative play-calling.

The Eagles fell apart in 2023, going 1-6 in their final seven games, including an embarrassing 32-9 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the wild-card round. The offense failed to eclipse 20 points in five of those seven contests and ranked 20th in dropback EPA during that stretch.

Philadelphia made significant changes to its offensive coaching staff this offseason. The club fired offensive coordinator Brian Johnson and quarterbacks coach Alex Tanney, replacing them with Kellen Moore and Doug Nussmeier. Moore served as offensive coordinator for the Chargers last season and previously found plenty of success in Dallas, leading the Cowboys' offense to three top-six scoring finishes between 2019-2022.

The Eagles also added star running back Saquon Barkley on a three-year, $37.5-million contract in free agency.

"(Hurts is) just a natural-born leader," Barkley said Monday, according to Andrew DiCecco of Inside The Birds. "It doesn't feel forced."

Hurts has started 51 games during his four-year tenure with the Eagles, going 34-17 with 14,627 total yards and 108 touchdowns.
